Please note that all prices listed on our site before login are in Australian dollars and include GST. Once logged in when adding to the shopping cart the GST is not listed until you select postage within Australia. International shipping choices will not have the 10% GST added to them. USD customers on login will see USD wholesale prices only and must make payment by Paypal to pay in USD. If Credit card is selected then the amount will be converted to AUD before processing.

We have endeavored to make your shopping experience with us as simple as possible and we ask that if you have any problems with the ordering process that you contact us.
You can order with us by:
1. Secure on-line purchasing - VISA and Mastercard are accepted. Payments through Paypal and Direct Credit are also accepted.
2. Direct deposit - Choose 'Direct Deposit' from the payment choices and hit the 'continue' button to submit your order.. You will receive an email with our banking details. Once payment is made please return email your receipt and your order will be dispatched immediately. 
3. Paypal- simply select the Paypal payment option and follow the instructions in your web browser.

Then hit the 'continue' button to submit your order. 
All orders will be attended to promptly and we will advise if there are any delays with providing products.


Postage

Shipping is calculated by the weight of each item and four postal regions. If you have ordered ONLY flat patterns you may select the letter rate. (note: there is no insurance or tracking on letters)

Please note: the free shipping option is not available on wholesale orders. If selected by mistake an invoice for the actual shipping will be sent separately and your order will not ship until paid.
 
 INCO term: CPT  Hobart, Australia If you require insurance please advise as once the package has left the premises it is deemed to be delivered and any loss, tracking or claims are the responsibility of the buyer.


For international parcels we have found Toll Priority airmail to be the best option (price, time and security). Occasionally with large international orders Fedex is a more viable option and Fedex priority shipping will be used with full tracking services.
Freight will be generally charged at the rates listed in the shopping cart however as you can appreciate an automated shipping cost calculator for such a wide array of items is difficult to provide. Rates have been calculated in most cases at the maximum possible cost  and therefore could be decreased on checkout in some cases. Pattern Press will always pass back any credit on shipping if a cheaper rate can be calculated manually. If you have paid by Paypal your shipping will be precalculated but major differences can be placed in credit on your account.
Some unusually shaped items or those which require more secure packaging will have the actual shipping and packaging costs added at processing time. In most cases this will be noted next to the item. 
If the incorrect shipping option is selected in the shopping cart then the correct shipping amount will be added to your order at processing time or charged on a separate emailed invoice  before shipment of order.
Pattern Press recycles post bags and envelopes where possible to cut down on your postage costs. 

More on Shipping

We have added an option named Letter rate. Note: this is for a flat paper pattern only. This is a cheaper rate for flat, light paper goods only (such as patterns) but is not registered nor trackable. Note: If letter rate is selected we do not replace late or missing items and we cannot track your order in anyway.  You may request a registered post label to be added to your letter for tracking purposes in the comments section of your checkout for an extra fee. ($2.90 Australia, $9.00 International) 
If letter rate is selected incorrectly your order will not ship until extra or correct shipping is paid for.


Goods purchased via our online store will be delivered via Australia Post, Toll Priority or at times SENDLE. We endeavour at all times to ship your orders in the most economical but secure manner. Australia Post deliveries are not registered, trackable or insured. Once the order has left our premises it is deemed to be delivered. Please request  Express Post  which is trackable in the checkout process if you wish to have some insurance on your order as they will not be replaced if they do not arrive. Toll packages (signature on delivery) are trackable as are Sendle packages so if you'd prefer us to recalculate using a different method, or to add insurance/tracking to your order please mention it in the comments section.


We are still offering our flat rate shipping for USD customers. Please note this does not include books and other unusual shaped items. Your shipping will automatically calculated at the full rate on your order. It will be adjusted before processing and refunded to your paypal account or credit card. Our current offer is $USD10 per $200 of order for standard patterns and USD$10 per $50 of order for non standard books and parcels (note that most items are standard and some books are shipped from within the US at standard US mail charges). All other offers (buy 10 get one free etc) are void when using the flat rate shipping offer.


Returns 

While all care is taken in packaging your goods, Pattern Press will not be responsible for any goods received damaged, due to shipping. (If damaged due to shipping you, the customer will need to contact Australia Post).
Items purchased may not be returned  or exchanged unless you can prove that the item is not what you expected from the details given on the website. Then an exchange voucher only will be given at the discretion of Pattern Press. A receipt is required of your initial purchase. No refunds or exchanges are given on clearance sale items.
As a general rule, refunds or exchanges are only applicable if the goods are returned to Pattern Press:


  • in original condition, suitable for re-sale
  • with all packaging in-tact

  • within 21 days of the transaction date
 
 
Goods should be returned via registered post together with proof of purchase invoice. (postage  for the return of goods is at the customers cost)
Postage and handling charges on returned goods are not refundable.
